Complaints about long-term memberships
- The office of the Ombudsman for Vacation Ownership was established in 2017. The function of the office is to mediate disputes between subscribing members of the Holiday Ownership Industry and their Members/Owners, regarding Vacation Ownership Products.
- Members/Owners who submit a complaint to the Ombudsman remain entitled to follow the conventional civil justice process, although these two processes may not proceed simultaneously.
- This is a free service for complainants.
- Industry subscribers are bound by the Ombudsman’s rulings, however, provision has been made, within the rules and regulations, for an informal appeal process beit-mirkahat.com.
In achieving its mission the office strives towards:
- ready access;
- cost effectiveness;
- speedy resolution of disputes;
- mediation rather than adjudication; and
- the right to afford fair resolution for all parties.
Who can complain to us?
Any person with an interest in Vacation Ownership Club or Property, which is bound by the Code of Conduct for Vacation Ownership. Should you be uncertain whether your Club/Property is bound by the Code of Conduct, please call the Customer Care Line number provided.
